The New York Daily News has an item today about Super Bowl finger-giver M.I.A. breaking up with her fiancé, Seagrams heir Ben Bronfman, and moving to London away from her three-year-old son. And what's that at the very end of the article? Is that... the original email from the gossip reporter to his or her editor?

It's since been cleaned up, but here's the very final paragraph as published this morning:

Ben Bronfman and MIA have broken up. He told someone she lives in London and he and their son, Ikid are here. Another source told me she sometimes goes six weeks without seeing the little boy. Also, Ben was at the Schomburg in Harlem last week with what seemed to onlookers like a date,a very pretty black girl.

Yeah, that sounds like an email from one reporter to an editor, doesn't it? Throw in a few background facts and quotes from old interviews and you've got about 450-word gossip article about How M.I.A. Gave the Finger to Her Toddling Son or M.I.A. Flips the Bird to Marriage. (Just make sure you remove "black.")
