A handful of Pennsylvania legislators claim they were duped into supporting a measure that would make 2012 "the Year of the Bible" and have asked the state House of Representatives to reconsider its adoption of the resolution.

House Resolution 535 was one in a stack of documents that came up for vote as a group and were passed unanimously on January 24. The people whose job it is to make laws in Pennsylvania now admit they might have given this one the go-ahead without knowing what exactly they were voting for.

In case you're wondering, the document was only two pages, and the very first sentence on page one was: ‘Resolution declaring 2012 as the Year of the Bible in Pennsylvania.'"

Happy Year of the Bible, everyone.
