In weird and somewhat unsettling news, a military torpedo was dropped off at a recycling center in Puerto Rico. Authorities don't know where it came from — just that it's, you know, a 6-foot-long military torpedo. Anyway, it's all taken care of now, probably.

Police said in a statement Saturday that explosive experts seized the torpedo from the Vega Aluminum center in the town of Quebradillas. Authorities said they have disposed of the torpedo but didn't provide other details including whether they had to detonate it.

We can assume that if they had to detonate it, they did a thorough job, right? Let's.
