For those of you who needed another reason to crush on Jon Hamm, the Mad Men star joined the ranks of legitimate TV actors ragging on reality TV personalities. His targets: Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton.

In a yet-to-be-published interview with Elle UK, Hamm had strong words for the amateur porn actresses turned reality stars.

Whether it's Paris Hilton or Kim Kardashian or whoever, stupidity is certainly celebrated. Being a fucking idiot is a valuable commodity in this culture because you're rewarded significantly.

As Access Hollywood points out, Hamm is far from the only actor to complain about untalented millionaires. Similarly hunky Daniel Craig told Britain's GQ magazine, "You see that and you think, 'What, you mean all I have to do is behave like a fucking idiot on television and then you'll pay me millions?'" But I'm more interested in what Jonah Hill told the Huffington Post last December.

The truth of it is, I have friends who work in TV and the Kardashians get higher ratings than their TV shows. Shows that people actually work hard on — writing and creating and trying to tell stories. The fact that the Kardashians could be more popular than a show like "Mad Men" is disgusting. It's a super disgusting part of our culture.

Hamm's beef with Kim Kardashian might be grounded in outrage — or he could be jealous of her ratings. Perhaps stirring up controversy is a ploy to get more people excited about Mad Men's fifth season premiere. (9 p.m., March 25, AMC.)
