Ugandan Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi is an enthusiastic Twitter user. So we asked him about the hottest topic in the Twitterverse: The arrest of Kony 2012 star activist Jason Russell for allegedly drunkenly masturbating in public. He'd like to know more.

Amama Mbazai clearly doesn't like the Kony 2012 campaign. For the past few hours, he's been tweeting at various celebrities who've supported the campaign, urging them to come visit Uganda and see for themselves that Joseph Kony is no longer wreaking havoc there, contrary to the impression one might get from Kony 2012's misleading viral video. He's even created a hashtag: #KonyisntinUganda. (And it's really him, according Alan Kasujja, the host of Uganda's top morning radio show. Other prominent Ugandan journalists also tweet with the account.)

But this was before the news broke of Jason Russell's arrest and hospitalization for allegedly masturbating in public, drunk. I wondered if Prime Minister Mbazai thought the campaign would be derailed now.

He didn't respond, so I enlisted the help of Ugandan journalist Arinaitwe Rugyendo, who had just been tweeting with him.

However, no response. It's past midnight in Uganda so maybe he's asleep. Or still laughing.
