Virginia's rapey abortion bill, the one that would require women to submit to an ultrasound before getting an abortion, has prompted a slew of responses. People are angry! But a group called Government Free VJJ has taken an Etsy stance in their approach to the issue.
The Snatchel Project asks women to knit or crochet a vagina or uterus and mail it to their male Senator or Congressional rep. The idea here is that if male representatives "have their own, they can leave ours alone!" And similarly, "hands off my uterus! Here's one of your own!" All in all, a nice alternative to mailing their Congressman something like this (NSFW).
