Attendees of an after-party celebrating the NYC premiere of a documentary about former Hole drummer Patty Schemel were treated to a seemingly impromptu reunion of the band's mid-90's lineup, complete with Melissa Auf der Maur on bass, Eric Erlandson on guitar, and Courtney Love behind the mic.

The three musicians minus Love were scheduled to perform at Williamsburg's Public Assembly as Trinity Jam in honor of Hit So Hard: The Life & Near Death of Patty Schemel.

Love, who "happened to be in New York CIty yesterday," according to The Village Voice, joined her Live Through This-era bandmates on stage for the first time in over a decade to perform "Miss World" and a cover of The Wipers' "Over the Edge."

It was just over a year ago, at another New York screening of the film, that Love said a reunion was not going to happen unless it was "relevant."

"[A]s much as I love playing with Patty, and I would play with her in five seconds again, and everyone standing on this stage," Love said then, " if it's not moving forward I don't want to do it, it's just my thing."
