In a Sunday interview on NBC's Meet the Press, Vice President Joe Biden revealed he is down like a clown, Charlie Brown, with same sex couples marrying.

Here's exactly what the Vice President said to host David Gregory:

"I am vice president of the United States of America. The president sets the policy. I am absolutely comfortable with the fact that men marrying men, women marrying women, and heterosexual men and women marrying another are entitled to the same exact rights, all the civil rights, all the civil liberties, and, quite frankly, I don't see much of a distinction beyond that."

Biden, who had previously established himself as cool via swears, said that he did not know if the current administration would formally come out in favor of same-sex marriage should the president be re-elected.

Barack Obama has previously stated that his position on gay marriage is "evolving." During the 2008 campaign, Obama opposed marriage for same sex couples but supported civil unions.

Vice President Biden added that he credits NBC sitcom Will and Grace with helping to de-stigmatize gay culture in America:

"…When things really begin to change, is when the social culture changes. I think Will & Grace probably did more to educate the American public than almost anything anybody's ever done so far. And I think- people fear that which is different. Now they're beginning to understand."

It certainly inspired a new generation of young people to become and/or acquire sassy gay friends.
