Big Bang Theory's Jim Parsons apparently came out of the closet today, which I'm sure is news to him, considering he's been out and about for some time now.

Still, it seems it was necessary for the New York Times to casually tack the word "gay" to the end of a fairly lengthy profile in today's paper in order to make it official. The piece also notes that Parsons is "in a 10-year relationship," which anyone listening to his award acceptance speeches would have known, considering he regularly thanks his partner Todd Spiewak when he wins.

But I guess there's a difference between knowing something and saying it out loud, so congrats to Jim Parsons on being officially gay. And congrats to Colin Powell on being in favor of same-sex marriage.

Overall a good day, gay-wise.
