If you ask people in Silicon Valley about the dismal job market they'll laugh and say, "What's 'job market'? A new mobile social networking app?" then pull a quick 360 on a Segway powered by seaweed smoothies.

There were no Segways at the lavish 40th birthday party Yammer CEO David Sacks threw himself at Los Angeles' Fleur de Lys mansion on Sunday, but there was a performance by Snoop Dogg and an 18th century Marie Antoinette theme. (Does Sacks know how that story ends?) Guests were reporterdly barred from using social media at the party—this is how geeks signify "super cool exclusive party"—but the ban was broken by none other than Snoop Dogg, who has become the unlikely court singer to Silicon Valley's elite, when he tweeted the picture with Saks above. (Snoop Dogg is also how geeks signify "super cool exclusive party.")

Sacks is rumored to be on the verge of selling Yammer, a social networking service for businesses, to Microsoft for over $1 billion. We're guessing next year's theme will be The Great Gatsby.
