At a training seminar in Bangor this week, first responders from eight communities throughout Eastern Maine learned how to react in case of a nationwide zombie outbreak.

Though the training could technically be applied to all pandemics, officials responsible for organizing the gathering say emergency agencies "need to be prepared for anything."

"There is no such thing as zombies," claims one attendee who you may want to avoid teaming up with when the Zombie Apocalypse arrives.
