Google VP Marissa Mayer has appeared in Vogue and Glamour; she shut down a good portion of San Francisco in order to install a massive Dale Chihuly glass sculpture in her home, where she hosted legendary ragers. Now, after 13 years at Google, she's been tapped as CEO of drab content chum bucket Yahoo.

Mayer's never run a company, so who knows if she'll be able to transform Yahoo from a business that is only able to survive because millions of elderly people still don't realize there are other websites than Yahoo.com on the internet. Things can't end much worse with her than it did with Yahoo's most recent CEO, Scott Thompson: He resigned after just four months after it was revealed that he lied about his college degree on his resume.
