CTV anchor Andrew Johnson thought he was asking colleague Astrid Braunschmidt if she wanted to have a chat when he suggested that they "canoodle" before her weather report.

Canoodle, for the Andrew Johnsons of the world, means "to pet or fondle," or sometimes even "to make love."

"We're not going to be canoodling," a flabbergasted Braunschmidt replied. "What?!"

Ouch.

On Twitter, responding to a follower who noted that "the worst part of the #canoodling slip is that you rejected him lol," Braunschmidt retorted, "well we ARE married to other ppl. Lol."

Lols all around.
