Paul Ryan's handlers abruptly ended an interview with Flint, Michigan's ABC12 today after the reporter attempted to connect Ryan's proposed tax cuts to his plan to lower gun-related violence. To be fair, the tax question was unrelated, but Ryan's response was a bit childish.

"Those are your words, not mine," responded the Republican vice presidential candidate. "That was kind of strange, you trying to stuff words in people's mouths."

And then one of Ryan's lackeys blocks the camera with a notepad.

Shortly after Buzzfeed posted the video, Ryan spokesman Brendan Buck told them: "The reporter knew he was already well over the allotted time for the interview when he decided to ask a weird question relating gun violence to tax cuts. Ryan responded as anyone would in such a strange situation. When you do nearly 200 interviews in a couple months, eventually you're going to see a local reporter embarrass himself."

Adding to to fun is this lovely exchange between Buzzfeed's Andrew Kaczynski, who broke the story, and Commentary's John Podhoertz over the story's initial headline, which implied it was Ryan who ended the interview and not his handlers. The headline has since been changed.

But now, it seems, Podhorertz has settled down. Too bad.
