When radio host Tom Joyner asked his Morning Show guest Barack Obama what the hell happened at the first presidential debate, the president didn't equivocate or offer up any excuses.

"I think it's fair to say I was just too polite," POTUS responded.

You have a seven-game series, we're up two zero and we lose one. You know, this is a long haul and I think that it's very important for folks to make sure that they understand that as long as people stay focused, we will win this thing.

He did go on to criticize his opponent for "put[ting] forward a whole bunch of stuff that...involved him running away from positions that he had taken," but promised next time around he won't be as nice.

"I think it's fair to say that we will see a little more activity at the next one," Obama said.

The next presidential debate will be a "town meeting format" Q&A at Hofstra University, and is scheduled for 9:00 PM ET on October 16th.
