Arizona Senate Candidate Apologizes For Saying that a Male Reporter Is 'Prettier' Than Candy Crowley, His Terrible Sense of Humor
In case you missed it, Arizona Senate candidate Richard Carmona recently let slip that the male moderator of one of his recent debates was "prettier" than CNN anchor and presidential debate moderator Candy Crowley.
Yesterday Carmona apologized for his gaffe, and for trying to be funny in general. "I tried to tell a joke to lighten the mood in a debate," Carmona said in a statement. "I shouldn't have, and I'm sorry."
No word on whether the debate moderator, Brahm Resnik, is hurt by the news that Carmona was not, in fact, genuinely paying him a compliment.
