Those morning-drunk wackadoodles over at the Today Show were just trying to have a fun conversation this morning about funny pictures they'd seen on the Internet, when a big flesh-colored dildo had to butt in and ruin the vibe.

Sadly, the self-pleasuring device appeared only in photo form (skip to 0:41 in the above video to get right to it). It was shown on screen as part of a segment featuring images of pun-based Halloween costumes cribbed from Buzzfeed. (The Buzzfeed photos were cribbed from everywhere else.)

The dildo was part of a "One Night Stand" pun-costume that featured a gentleman dressed up as a nightstand.

It's not clear from the video if any of the hosts realized the dildo was in the shot; they're always frantically encouraging segments to move along even when dildos aren't on screen.

What is apparent is that Grey Prince of Morning Matt Lauer is a bit of a dick.

He throws cameraman Bob "Rope" Jaeger (brought onto the hallowed couch for a fun costume guessing game) under the bus as soon as the One Night Stand costume flashes on screen, chiding "Rope, you should know this one."
