Joe Biden's secret Parks and Recreation cameo, which was announced just last week, aired last night and was as adorable as it was the first time you dreamed it.

Though the scene was filmed back in July, the show's cast and crew were ordered to keep it under close wraps until after the election, which makes you wonder what other secrets Vice President Biden is keeping from the American people.

In the clip above (Biden appears at the 0:33 mark), Amy Poehler's character Leslie Knope is surprised with a visit to the office of her #1 crush, the Vice-President, while in D.C.

Biden breezes through the scene with the ease of someone who pretends to be excited to meet people several thousand times a day. He also blinds everyone in the room with his dazzling smile, though the bystanders recover quickly. Amy Poehler grabs his face at one point, and the whole thing is very cute.

The New York Times reports that Parks & Recreation's executive producer Michael Schur was warned that, if word of Biden's appearance leaked prior to the election, the show might have to make "some provision" to give Republican presidential nominee Paul Ryan a similar cameo.

"It was all very byzantine and complicated," Mr. Schur said. "There seem to be all kinds of specific rules, which I never fully understood. But we decided to err on the side of caution."

Since word of the cameo didn't slip out beforehand, Ryan's cameo was never filmed.
