Well, I bet Hitler's girlfriend thought he was a good lover. And Mao Zedong's family thought he was a great man and a wonderful leader. It's sad that the only way that Denis Rodman can be in the news is if he cuddles up to a crazy, murdering dictator.

What is there to discuss? Dennis Rodman is a narcissistic loser who is now a has-been narcissistic loser. I have to think that Kim Jong-Un is paying Rodman to saying this shit.
Instead, lets discuss how cute these darn cheetah cubs are. Word on the street is that zoo has brought in a Labrador puppy to keep them company. I am looking forward to seeing videos of cheetah/puppy hijinks!

I won't disagree with the "narcissistic" part but he did win 5 NBA (2 with Detroit and 3 with Chicago) titles in his career so the loser tag doesn't apply to him.

I don't think calling a guy with 5 NBA championship rings a "loser" really fits. Is he an asshole? Yes. An idiot? Yes. However, by definition the guy is a winner.

I know this gets recommended every time a story about North Korea is published... but I encourage all that are interested to read "Escape from Camp 14." The horrors of being born in a concentration camp might seem obvious... but what they deal with after escaping might not be.
I don't think even the horrors of being born in a concentration camp can really be that obvious to most of us - it's so alien to our experience. When you read this book, it's like, you get post-traumatic stress from just reading it. It's one horrible blow after another.
Another book that does that is "What is the What" by Dave Eggers, the story of a kid from southern Sudan, whose village gets burned and he becomes part of the exodus of children heading for the refugee camp in Ethiopia.
But all his struggles, and the way I was floored on every page - it still doesn't quite compare to the the NK prison camp story.

The documentary film Camp 14 Total Control Zone was at the Toronto Film Festival last year. The director was in attendance for a Q&A, and talking about meeting and gaining the trust of Shin. The film was beyond horrific. I think I was traumatized just by watching it, I could not stop thinking about it for weeks.

What's the deal with baby girls in North Korea? Similar to China? If so, there might be a new North Korean sex tape coming out soon...
North Korean orphans have awful lives, if and when they survive. Many flee to China if they are lucky.
Though imperfect in China, the infanticide rates are much lower and the adoption system is well established and legitimate. Many more Chinese nationals are now adopting.
North Korea allows no international adoptions and the little that is know about the children in nee is heartbreaking.
