Mo Brooks has been a congressman ever since 2011, after the then-56-year-old was named one of the Republican National Committee's "Young Guns." He's one of the House's most conservative members. Also, he believes immigration is "part of a war on whites" in America, according to a radio interview today.

Brooks cried his salty white tears and uttered sundry other nativist ramblings in a Monday interview on the Laura Ingraham radio show. Via Huffington Post, he discussed his race-war theory when asked whether he believed reports that fast-growing minority and immigrant electoral blocs hated the Republican Party:

"This is a part of the war on whites that's being launched by the Democratic Party. And the way in which they're launching this war is by claiming that whites hate everybody else," he said during an interview Monday with conservative radio host Laura Ingraham. "It's part of the strategy that Barack Obama implemented in 2008, continued in 2012, where he divides us all on race, on sex, greed, envy, class warfare, all those kinds of things. Well that's not true."

Later on in the interview, according to Breitbart dot com, Brooks embraced his role in something called the "deportation caucus" and chided the Wall Street Journal for criticizing anti-immigrant conservatives like him.

"The Wall Street Journal just needs to get their head screwed on right on this one," he added. "They need to be Americans, they need to be patriots. And they need to think about America first, and they need to think about American families first. But that seems to be the furthest thought from their mind."

At a town-hall meeting in 2011, Brooks said of undocumented immigrants that he would do "anything short of shooting them" to keep them out of the United States.
