Amanda Bynes Roams the Sunset Strip After Release From Psychiatric Hold
Amanda Bynes was released from her psychiatric hold at a Los Angeles hospital yesterday when a hearing officer ruled she was stable enough that she could not be held involuntarily. She left, wandered along Sunset Blvd., and ate diner food by herself.
Amanda walked down Sunset Blvd., searching for a place to stay. She then went to a diner where she ordered a ton of food which she devoured—fried chicken, salmon, caesar salad with guacamole, and a house salad with Italian and ranch. She was chit-chatting with the waiter and said she was shy because she had a procedure on her face which required a bandage.
She was alone in the diner and was talking to herself.
Her release is somewhat of a surprise considering she was put on an additional 30-day hold last week. Amanda's parents hospitalized her two weeks ago after she got a DUI, made a ruckus in New York, and accused her dad of sexually abusing her when she was a child. She later recanted and deleted all her tweets from the episode.
Her mother, Lynn Bynes, was again granted a conservatorship of Amanda this week after she petitioned the court. Lynn says Amanda "has been spending large amounts of her savings ... It has been reported that she has recently made extensive purchases as gifts from jewelry stores, such as Cartier, for strangers."
TMZ notes that multiple hotels turned Amanda down last night.
