Samela and Pedro Hernandez pleaded guilty this week to illegally practicing medicine out of their South Florida home without licenses. The duo were providing "touch up" butt injections to patients, mostly women, who have undergone posterior enhancement surgery overseas.

The couple's lawyer, Robert Perez, told the Miami Herald that Samela, 55, had previous experience with the "thriving buttocks implant market in Colombia." According to police, Samela used a silicon-based solution that is banned in the United States. One woman, an exotic dancer, claims to have been permanently disfigured from the injections.

More from the Herald:

The couple was arrested in late 2012. Hialeah detectives seized a slew of medical equipment including syringes and Lidocaine, plus a list of clients and procedures. Two more victims were at the house at the time. They told police they had undergone procedures for months; one said she believed Hernandez was a nurse.

The exotic dancer told police that after the first injection, she returned to the Hernandez house and they administered "more solution into the void area of her buttocks to 'fill in' the gaps between the welts."

"Of the hundreds of patients, only one person came forward to complain," Perez told the Herald. "Everyone else was satisfied with their posteriors."

The couple will be placed under house arrest for two years, and will only be allowed to leave their home for work.
