Lawyers for alleged Boston bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev want his criminal trial suspended until public starts to forget about the "extraordinarily prejudicial" Charlie Hebdo attacks last week.

The AP reports that Tsarnaev's lawyers want a month-long continuance to allow comparisons between the violence in Paris and the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing to die down. The motion, filed late Tuesday, will likely be heard Thursday when jury selection for the upcoming trial is expected to resume.

Tsarnaev was arraigned in December in the U.S. District Court in South Boston, not far from where the actual bombings took place, and jury selection began last week. His lawyers have repeatedly tried to delay the the trial and move it out of Boston—all to no avail, according to the AP.

Tsarnaev, who pleaded not guilty, could face the death penalty.
