If it's disproportionate to how busy (i.e. total traffic), then yes, that's a problem. Well all if it is a problem, but it may not be a Southern thing in particular.
BTW- It appears there are a few thousand persons per year at the airports alone, who are not "responsible gun owners" as "responsible gun owners" don't forget they have their guns on them while going through airport security, fail to declare their weapons, etc. You should always know where your gun is. So, either they're trying to break the law (which makes them criminals) or they're irresponsible gun owners.
and criminals are people that shouldn't have guns. amirite?
Exactly. We should not be putting guns into the hands of criminals.
Don't count Dallas out. That's guns "found" - not guns that got past security.
"Oh, that's my sidearm."
"Well come on through then!"
Congrats to Atlanta for also being the biggest airport in the world. I'm sure there is no relation here. Gawker is on a power trip to get the South on baseless shit that happens everywhere .
Why would there need to be such a motivation when it's easy enough to get the south on all the shit that happens there way more often than anywhere else. Like racism, poverty, bigotry, etc
HamNo's eventual goal is to reignite the civil war. I for one look forward to the day when I no longer have to give a single shit about what goes on the North East.
It's the biggest airport because it's a hub. That means that other people fly into Atlanta from elsewhere for a layover. The guns would have been found at their first departure point. These guns were found by people getting on for the first time in Atlanta.
Oh, totally. I mean, if you break it down by size and the number of bodies going through the airport daily, most major airports are probably right up there with ATL. And the thing is: people are assholes and idiots and are taking guns places that they shouldn't be taking guns so I kind of view the number of guns found at Hartsfield as sort of a nice reassurance that I'm not going to get on a plane with some douche who smuggled on a weapon. The TSA workers at Hartsfield, while never blatantly rude, are cold and seemingly disinterested so it actually makes me feel pretty good that they have people who are catching these things in the security lines. Especially given that so many people on the end with the checked baggage are apparently ripping us all off left and right.
