Employees Promised Raises in Exchange for Tattoo of Company Logo
A real estate company in New York is giving each of its 800 employees a permanent 15% raise for no additional work. All it's asking for in return is that the employees tattoo the company's logo somewhere on their bodies.
Owner Anthony Lolli says the idea came to him after an employee voluntarily inked Rapid Realty's logo on himself.
"He calls me up, he says ‘Hey Anthony, I’m getting the logo on me,'" Lolli recalled to CBS New York. "I show up at the shop and I’m like ‘this is cool, how can I repay you?'"
And so he came up with the tat incentive: Employees that get a Rapid Reality tattoo of any size anywhere on their body are automatically entitled to a 15% pay increase.
Lolli says 40 of his employees have already taken him up on the offer.
"I was like, why am I throwing my money away when I could give myself from a $25,000 to $40,000 for the same amount of work?," Realtor Stephanie Barry said.
Lolli has yet to get tattooed himself, but claims he will "eventually."
