When a prospective buyer began asking his wife for photos of her feet inside the shoes she was auctioning off on eBay, Redditor Ferenginar got a bit suspicious.

When the same person kept asking for foot pics long after the auction had ended, he knew for certain that the man wasn't really looking to purchase a pair of size 7 open-toe platforms.

Nonetheless, Ferenginar felt the individual's persistence ought to be rewarded, so he ended up accommodating his request — by taking photos of his own feet inside the shoes.

"Hi, sorry for the delay," Ferenginar wrote the not-too-subtle shoe guy. "My wife went out of town after making this listing, and you seem like you REALLY want a picture of some feet, so this is the best I can do. Hope this helps (even though the listing ended 2 days ago)."

No word yet on whether Ferenginar's response was indeed helpful.
