Before he became the huge, jacked up star of stage and screen you know today, Hugh Jackman was a lowly gym teacher trying to get young boys at England's Uppingham School to climb that damn rope and quit flicking their towels at each other in the locker room.

As fate would have it, one of Jackman's former pupils went on to become an entertainment reporter, and the two recently reconnected at a red carpet event in Zurich.

As Rollo Ross started asking Jackman questions as if he wasn't his PE teacher back in 1987, Jackman interrupted the reporter to remind him and all the viewers at home of that very important fact.

"Rollo, I'm sorry mate," Jackman interjected, "but we go way back, I used to teach you at a high school in P.E., and I want to know how your physical education is progressing. It's very important to me."

Jackman went on to razz Rollo a bit more about his refusal to jump in the pool when Coach Jackman told him to.

Rollo later recounted to E! News his first experience seeing a movie with his former teacher as the star, saying he didn't even realize it was the same person until a friend pointed it out.

"You just don't make the correlation that your teacher is now a movie star," he said.
