Context isn't really necessary to appreciate this video, but here's what we know about it: Six college-aged bros were caught reportedly breaking into Miami University (Ohio)'s Kappa Alpha house, confronted the guy filming them, and apparently attacked him with a bag of bagels.

The video opens on the group's lookout revealing their entire plan: "These are my boys, dude. My boys just got jumped. I'm the lookout. When the cops come, I'm gonna run and let 'em know what's up, everybody's running out the back door," he says.

He eventually remembers his job and rallies his "boys" to stop the cameraman. They follow the witness down the street with t-shirts deeply V'd and bagel sack swinging, repeatedly informing him that WHY ARE YOU RECORDING THIS YOU ARE SO FUCKING STUPID YOU IDIOT BRO ARE YOU SERIOUS YOU'RE RETARDED.

A commenter on Reddit, claiming he's the "Miami gossip girl" who filmed this video, related what happened next:

"I'm fine, I'm a bouncer at one of the local bars. They followed me for 3 blocks trying to grab me and get my phone. Said they would kill me trying to punch and smacking me with a bag of begals [sic] etc... Once I got to the bar I went inside and everything else was taken care of. I can't really get into what happened after I went inside, but I'm fine."

He also wrote that there were two door guys working the bar at the time, so it's easy to speculate that the bouncers did their job. Afterward, he uploaded the video to his manager's computer, and it has since been turned over to police.

According to the Miami U. student who posted the video to Reddit, the student body is going nuts over the apparent break-in attempt on YikYak (a social app for spreading anonymous campus gossip). The prevalent rumor is that Kappa Alpha members "jumped a member of Phi Tau earlier in the day and this was Phi Tau's way of getting revenge."

The Daily Dot published screenshots of the Yik Yak gossip, which is not exactly favorable to the alleged thieves. It seems some on campus believe those bagels were the only thing they managed to steal from the house before getting caught:
