GWAR Frontman Dave Brockie Found Dead at 50
Dave Brockie, better known as GWAR frontman Oderus Urungus, was found dead in his Richmond, Va. home Sunday night, the Richmond Times-Dispatch reports.
Brockie was 50 years old. The cause of his death is still unknown, but detectives don't suspect foul play.
Brockie founded GWAR in 1984, and the legendary heavy metal band released 13 albums—most recently, 2013's Battle Maximus. Brockie was the only remaining founding member of the band, and it's still unclear whether GWAR will continue without him.
The band had recently returned from a short tour of Japan.
