Dottie Sandusky, wife of former Penn State assistant football coach and current convicted sex offender Jerry Sandusky, continues to stand by her man. She appeared on the Today Show Wednesday morning to claim the victims in the case "were manipulated, and saw money."

"Once lawyers came into the case, they said there was money," Sandusky told Matt Lauer, in her first TV interview since her husband's 2012 conviction for sexual abuse of young boys.

She maintains that her husband is not guilty of anything more than some harmless showering. "I believe he showered with kids. That's the generation that Jerry grew up in," she told Lauer.

In the most disturbing segment of the interview, Dottie said that one victim's claims that he screamed from Sandusky's basement and nobody came to see what was going on couldn't be true, "because he didn't scream."

"I was here. I will take you downstairs and let you see the basement. It is not a dungeon. It is not what those kids said. You can scream, and you can hear it up to the second floor," she said.

Dottie Sandusky was joined by filmmaker and Sandusky truther John Ziegler, who runs the website FramingPaterno.com—dedicated to clearing the name of Penn State head football coach Joe Paterno, who knew about Jerry Sandusky's behavior and didn't report it.

"Dottie Sandusky is not delusional. She knows the case better than the vast majority of media members, and she is positive that Jerry Sandusky is innocent," Ziegler said on Today.

Jerry Sandusky is serving out a sentence of at least 30 years at a maximum security prison in Waynesburg, Penn., where he continues to work on an appeal. His request for a new trial was denied in Jan. 2013.
