Jimmy Carter Is As Paranoid As Your Grandfather
Former president and current very-old person Jimmy Carter has admitted to handwriting all of his correspondence because he's very old and also very scared of the NSA.
Carter told the Associated Press,
"I don't think there's any doubt now that the NSA or other agencies monitor or record almost every telephone call made in the United States, including cell phones, and I presume email as well."
The crotchety old jagbag handles this fear by taking out his fancy stylus and a sheet of ye olde parchment and gets all those important thoughts—perhaps poignant advice to his fallen friend, Paula Deen—down in hard copy.
"I feel that my telephone calls and my email are being monitored, and there are some things I just don't want anybody to know," he added, describing modern surveillance as a violation of Americans' basic civil rights.
What is Jimmy Carter even writing that the NSA would want to find? Peach cobbler recipes?
