A British man who fell into a coma after a brutal car accident says the worst part of the whole ordeal was finding out he wasn't Matthew McConaughey.

Rory Curtis, 25, was reportedly hit by six cars after slamming into a truck in 2012. According to the Mirror, he suffered a brain hemorrhage during the forty minutes it took for firefighters to free him from the wreckage.

He lapsed into a coma and woke up six days later believing he was a kooky Texan with a deep reservoir of Southern gravitas.

"In my head I thought I was Matthew McConaughey," not-Matthew McConaughey told the Mirror. "When I went to the toilet I went to look in the mirror and I was shocked because I didn't look like him, I didn't know what I was looking at."

"Then slowly over time it eventually clicked and I thought 'He is an actor, what am I on about?' But at times I was in hospital thinking I can't wait to get out of here and back to filming movies."

Not-Matthew McConaughey also told the British paper he started speaking near-perfect French, which was alright-alright-alright with him.

"I was sitting there spouting a foreign language from my hospital bed acting all French in their sort of arrogant yet sophisticated way. It wasn't me at all," he said. "The accident changed my outlook on life. I can't leave the house now without telling everyone I love them and giving them a hug."

Actually, that part sounds exactly like something Matthew McConaughey would do.
