Someone at the National Weather Service's Anchorage, Alaska, outpost had an acrostic for the federal government hidden in one of its updates today: "Please pay us."

The Washington Post reports that the National Weather Service has almost 4,000 employees working without pay during the shutdown. One wonders how much longer this sense of humor can last.
