I've never met Booker, but I get the distinct impression that he is the product of almost the identical marketing ploy that gave us Barack Obama. Only with more kittens in trees. You want to impress me, Mr. Booker? Be like Senator Warren and just do the work and spend a little less time in front of the cameras and on Twitter. I really loved how the media tried to paint Warren as an "outsider" because she did very little media after her victory. Maybe it was due to the fact that she was busy planning on stepping on some banker's balls instead of licking some.

The closer I look at Booker, the shadier he seems. But it's a subtle kind of shady, not overt shadiness like his predecessor Sharpe James or, say, Herman Cain. It's more like the Mitt Romney kind of shady, where you know something's up but you actually have to pay attention and know shit about tax codes and financial regulations to get what. So unless Booker has a sex scandal brewing, he's probably gonna get away with whatever shit he's pulling - and be our next Senator.

You can be a nice and brave person, and also be corrupt as shit. The first one means I'd love him to be my neighbor during a house fire. The second one makes me queasy about him being a Senator.

He will get elected. The Republican candidate is too right-wing for moderate New Jersey. He will be probably be a one-termer given the brewing scandals. And he's not going anywhere after that. Two corrupt US senators is probably too much, even for Jersey.
