The news broke in time for South Floridians to read it on their phones while stopped for a frigging accident on the frigging Golden Glades just a couple frigging blocks from work. Marco Rubio, their senator and beige Buick-steering soulmate, is as shitty a driver as them. His wife is even worse:

[P]olitics is not the only area where Mr. Rubio, a Republican from Florida, has an affinity for the fast track. He and his wife, Jeanette, have also shown a tendency to be in a rush on the road.

According to a search of the Miami-Dade and Duval County court dockets, the Rubios have been cited for numerous infractions over the years for incidents that included speeding, driving through red lights and careless driving. A review of records dating back to 1997 shows that the couple had a combined 17 citations: Mr. Rubio with four and his wife with 13. On four separate occasions they agreed to attend remedial driving school after a violation.

“Senator Rubio’s license has always been in good standing,” the family traffic-ticket attorney told the newspaper of record. It’s not yet clear whether the revelations will hurt Rubio’s standing with everyday Miami-Dade voters who drive their Corollas at 15 miles an hour down 826 with their turn signals on while texting about in-the-biz night specials at Cafe Iguana before parking across two spaces at the Presidente.
