Rampaging Commuter Goes on 'Zombie Attack,' Headbutts Every Car in Sight
Drivers thought the zombie apocalypse was upon them when a fellow motorist suddenly jumped out of his vehicle and began headbutting other cars.
The incident took place towards the end of Monday evening's rush hour along the Kwinana Freeway in Perth, Western Australia, and was caught on dashcam by a passing driver identified as Jordan.
"It was at about 7pm, I was heading down to Freeway South and all the traffic just stopped," he recalled to WA Today. "It was like the movie World War Z, where the zombies just run into cars, he was exactly like that and I thought 'oh shit, it's the zombie apocalypse.'"
According to local police, the scary scene started after the unidentified man crashed his car, a Mazda ute, into an unmanned Volkswagen occupying the emergency lane.
He them proceeded to assault nearby vehicles, jumping on them and headbutting their windows.
The man was ultimately taken into custody and transported to a local hospital for observation.
No word yet on whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the episode, but police say they believe the man has a history of mental health problems.
