Using sonar imagery, Indonesian officials say they have located what may be the wreckage of AirAsia flight QZ8501, The Wall Street Journal reports.

According to the paper, the country's search-and-rescue agency said an object that appears to be an upside down plane was discovered on the floor of the Java Sea about two miles from where debris was recovered on Tuesday.

Lying under 24 to 30 meters of water, the object was reportedly imaged by an Indonesian naval vessel involved in the search.
