New research shows that almost one third of Americans spent at least two months in poverty during the worst years of the last recession. The good news is that their bosses probably came through just fine.

Another (far more important) study from Pew shows the following things are true about bosses, as compared with the average workers:

-They are happier with their work lives.

-They are happier with their home lives.

-They are happier with their financial situation.

-They make more money.

-They are more likely to be white.

-They are more likely to be male.

-They are more likely to be Republican.

More than 40% of children in America experienced poverty between 2009 and 2011, but they were very unlikely to be bosses, so no big surprise.
