Erin Callan, who served as Lehman's chief financial officer until she was ousted in June, is saying goodbye to 15 Central Park West. According to the WSJ, she's selling her condo for $11.8 million, just below the asking price of $12 million. Callan made a tidy profit: She agreed to pay $6.48 million for the apartment three years ago—back when the building was under construction—although she only closed on the purchase in April, which is when she first put it on the market for $14 million. One unusual footnote to the story: The 2,400-square-foot apartment is located on the 31st floor, the same floor she occupied when she worked at Lehman.

♦ Democratic fundraisers Carl Spielvogel and Barbaralee Diamonstein-Spielvogel are reportedly in contract to sell their apartment at 720 Park for $37 million, or $17 million more than they paid for the place just two years ago. [NYO]

• A couple of days ago, people were wondering when Bill and Tina Flaherty's penthouse apartment at 1040 Fifth Avenue would hit the market and how much the listing price would be. The Post has spotted a new real estate trend: apparently quite a few people have paid more than $45 million for apartments and townhouses recently. This "new stratosphere" includes Harry Macklowe ($60mm), J. Christopher Flowers ($53mm), Phil Falcone ($49mm), Dan Loeb ($45.8mm), Jon Tisch ($48mm) and Len Blavatnik, who paid $50 million to acquire a 15,000-square-foot townhouse from "Seagram's president Edgar Bronfman Jr." Bronfman hasn't served as the president of Seagram for about a decade now. But let this slip-up serve as a lesson to us all! If you take over your father's immensely valuable liquor empire and then sell off the pieces to fund your misguided investments in the music and film industries—and lose billions of your family's money in the process—you may be forced to downsize.

Architecture critic Paul Goldberger took a look around inside 15 Central Park West for the September issue of Vanity Fair. And what did he find? It's not easy dealing with the city's wealthiest tenants, some of whom are already complaining about the walls and the light switches in their new homes. Also: In addition to notables like Sandy Weill, Dan Och, Dan Loeb, Sting, Denzel Washington, and Bob Costas, a handful of mega-rich foreigners also call the building home, like Beijing real estate developers Zhang Xin and Pan Shiyi. • A month ago, it was rumored that Jonathan Tisch set a record for the most expensive co-op in NYC history when he bought an 11th floor apartment at 2 East 67th for $48 million. • After living out of the Bowery Hotel for months, Ann Dexter-Jones has finally found her new home. The socialite mom of Sam, Mark, and Charlotte Ronson paid $1.795 million for a four-bedroom West Village duplex at 42 West 9th Street. • The Stanford White-designed townhouse at 127 East 73rd Street has sold for $32.5 million; it had been listed for $38 million with broker Carrie Chiang.
