Three Dead as 46 Cars Crash in Horrific Snowy Pileup

Yesterday evening on highway I-94 in Michigan City, a 46-car pileup began after an unpredictable wave of lake-effect snow came onto the road, startling drivers and causing them to swerve into each other. The gust of precipitation, which is brother to the terrifying menace "thundersnow" and has been known to white out areas of the Midwest, fell onto the highway that connects Michigan to Montana. Three people have been pronounced dead.

Four Marines were killed in a training accident today at Southern California's Camp Pendleton. Few other details have been released, but base officials said the accident occurred during "a range maintenance operation," according to the AP. A mortar explosion killed seven Marines training in Nevada only eight months ago.

Emergency crews are on the scene of an accident at the North Carolina State Fair. According to an EMS source, five passengers were ejected while riding the Vortex. All five victims were initially found unconscious but three regained consciousness before being transported to the hospital.

Jerry Moon’s family opened his casket to say their final goodbyes at his funeral on Monday. But what they saw was not their father’s corpse: inside the casket was the body of an unknown man with a plastic bag over his head. Even worse, the dead man inside the casket was dressed in their father’s clothes and had a picture of their mother tucked under his arm.

Young Girl Dies After Being Caught Inside Sofa Bed

Aissante Diallo, 3, died in her Harlem apartment on Sunday after suffocating while trapped in a sofa bed. According to the New York Post, Aissante was at home when “the bed retracted, trapping her and her 10-year old sister.” The sister managed to escape, but Aissante was “squeezed inside.” NBC 4 reports that the girls were sleeping at the time of the accident.

13 Children Injured in Connecticut Carnival Ride Accident

According to reports, 13 children were injured, including two seriously injured, on a swing ride at the Oyster Festival at Veterans Memorial Park in Norwalk, Connecticut this afternoon. Children with minor injuries were treated and released at the scene, but the more seriously injured were transferred to Norwalk, Stamford, and Bridgeport hospitals.

Usher's Son Rushed to Hospital After Near-Drowning Incident
