Tonight, ABC aired Oprah's special, Christmas at the White House, in which the Queen of Daytime visited the Obamas and toured the decked out residence. And aside from baby talk and a Michelle shut down, it was so, so boring.

Barack Obama's Peace Prize acceptance speech started off humble, sounded kinda defensive, and it even got, weirdly, a bit Bush-y. But on the whole: it was pretty damn good!

Most recipients of the Nobel Peace Prize luxuriate in it — they accept invitations to lunch with the Norwegian king, go to concerts, give press conferences. Not Barack Obama. He's doing the drive-through Nobel experience.

Corollary: 20 percent of America does not know what an impeachable offense is. "There may be a certain segment of voters... that simply think the president doing things they don't agree with is grounds for removal from office." [WashIndy]

2009 will be remembered for a lot of things. Those things will probably be remembered better if we mash 'em up and autotune them.

In a town hall meeting today, a student asked Obama if legalizing drugs, prostitution, and other awesome things would stimulate the economy. Obama, ever the square, totally shot him down. Dammit.

At a town hall in Allentown, Pa.—coverage of which probably made Billy Joel a couple grand in licensing fees today—Barack Obama said consumers are getting "gypped" by insurance companies. Cue the outrage.

Night Shyamalan, Steven Spielberg, Jeffrey Katzenberg, and David Geffen (accompanied by his youthful boyfriend). • In what may be the most dubious story ever published by Us, a source tells the tabloid that Angelina Jolie "hates" President Obama because he's "all about welfare and handouts" and is really "a socialist in disguise." Naturally, the source goes on to say that Brad Pitt is still a fan of Obama, which means the two "get in nasty arguments" about politics "all the time." [Us]

It's well known that movie mogul David Geffen is Obama's Gay Friend. This was reinforced by tonight's state dinner, where Geffen sat at Obama's table. Oh, and Geffen's plus one was there, too: His hunky, 26-year-old boyfriend.
