• The SoHo apartment where Adam Goldstein (aka DJ AM) died from a drug overdose last year has arrived on the market. The 1,147-square-foot condo at One Kenmare Square, which Goldstein purchased for $1.9 million in 2007, is listed for $1.795 million. [Curbed, PDE]
• Nearly two years after they first put it on the market for $35 million, mortgage company founder Steven Schnall and his wife Sherri have found a buyer for their over-the-top 11,000-square-foot mansion at 2 North Moore Street. The five-bedroom townhouse, which is equipped with a 50' heated lap pool, screening and billiards rooms, and "outdoor dining atrium"—and which had been listed most recently for $29 million—went into contract to sell late last week. Fashion Week Takes a Turn For the Creepy

cityfile · 09/11/09 03:03PM

Lizzie Grubman appears to have landed a hot new PR client: Vince Shlomi, the man better known as Vince the ShamWow guy (and someone who, like Lizzie, has faced his share of high-profile legal trouble in the past: As you may recall, Vince was arrested earlier this year for beating up a hooker in a Miami hotel room.) Over the summer, Shlomi said he was planning to branch out with a swimwear line, which probably explains why he attended Fashion Week shows both yesterday and today accompanied by Grubman (and managed to leer at the models on the runway both times). But if anyone can redeem the dishrag/blender huckster and ex-Scientologist and turn him into a hot ticket on fashion scene, it's probably Grubman! A couple of additional photos of Lizzie and her new BFF (and a special bonus!) below.

Jared's Words of Wisdom

cityfile · 03/12/09 12:45PM

What do you know! Everyone's favorite "broker to the stars" Jared Seligman turned up on Open House NYC to share some tips on how to increase the value of your apartment before putting it on the market. So what words of wisdom did he have to impart on the world? Clean up any clutter, fix your broken appliances, and remove the food from your kitchen, a task that is no doubt easier to handle when your clients include people like Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen who don't eat to begin with. Seligman Drops the Price on the Olsen Penthouse—Again

cityfile · 09/12/08 12:12PM

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen might be mini-moguls, but they haven't had much luck in the real estate business. It's been nearly a year now since the pair first put their penthouse at One Morton Square on the market for $11.995 million with 21-year-old Corcoran broker (and Curbed mascot) Jared Seligman. In May, it was reported that Seligman had chopped the price of the 5,725-square-foot condo to $10.495 million. Now Seligman has slashed the price once again, this time to $9.995 million. But Jared's inability to sell the place may ultimately prove good news for the girls. After all, they may need a place to crash if they can't make nice with their new neighbors, who have been itching to get them kicked out of their West 13th Street rental. After the jump, you can look at MK and Ashley's spread and figure out for yourself why Seligman can't find any buyers.

Olsen Twins' Favorite 21-Year-Old Realtor Has No Time For The Press

Hamilton Nolan · 08/25/08 01:25PM

Are you familiar with the phenomenon that is Jared Seligman, wunderkind realtor to the downtown stars? If not, wake up and smell the $40 million in billings! Seligman sold that much property for the Corcoran Group last year at the tender age of 21, to real estate connoisseurs like the Olsen twins. And though he's already been profiled by W magazine and is a running meme at Curbed, He doesn't "really have time to pay attention to the press." The hectic life of a now-drinking-age condo king! Seligman started in the real estate game at 18, and he's already a millionaire. Cool kids love him!
