After weeks of teasing twitpics, the filming of Arrested Development's highly anticipated fourth season is set to get underway today.

Even though Arrested Development's fourth season was officially confirmed earlier this year by multiple sources directly involved in the production process, the beloved series' return still seems like a wonderful daydream to its ever-expanding fan base.

Arrested Development creator Mitch Hurwitz, speaking at the New Yorker festival today, says that he plans on doing a last, "limited" season of the show before making the long-promised movie. As the Times' Dave Itzkoff says, "we'll see."

MTV brings us even more news about the Arrested Development movie. Appaarently, he sat down with Mitch Hurwitz just last week to discuss the film. Bateman goes on to call it "everything you would want it to be and more."

Mitch Hurwitz places his faith in FOX again with the Will Arnett/Keri Russell vehicle Running Wilde. Arrested Development (even with critical and cult celebration) lasted 3 seasons, Sit Down, Shut Up less than one. Is the third time the charm?

Michael Cera hasn't done much talking on the Arrested Development movie since he notoriously said he "doesn't see a need for it." That's fine, though: onscreen dad Jason Bateman is happy to talk for him.
