The murder trial of Sarah Ferguson began in Utica, New York, last week. Ferguson is accused of participating in a group counseling session at the Word of Life Church that left her 19-year-old half-brother Lucas Leonard dead and her other half-brother, Christopher, mutilated. Prosecutors said the beatings began when Tiffanie Irwin, the church pastor, allegedly accused the boys of using witchcraft, making a voodoo doll of the pastor, and sexually abusing their siblings and nieces.

Authorities in New Haven made a grisly discovery on Wednesday when they found a pair of human legs near a railroad station and a plastic bag containing “at least one” human arm during a subsequent search of the area, WTNH reports.

A recent Yale graduate reportedly jumped to his death this morning from the window of a ninth-floor New Haven apartment after he stabbed a former classmate.

Samuel See, 34, an assistant professor of English and American studies at Yale University, was pronounced dead after he was found unresponsive in his cell at a New Haven detention center on Sunday. See had been arrested Saturday for violating a protective order and fighting with police officers when they were called to his home on a domestic dispute complaint.
