Texas Senator Demands Hillary Clinton Explain Shitty Michael Bay Movie
After a two-year investigation, the Republican-led House Select Committee on Benghazi concluded that, as positioned, there was no way American forces could have reached the city’s consulate in time to save lives. GOP Senator John Cornyn, however, still has questions. Namely, what was Hillary Clinton’s involvement with Michael Bay’s lowest grossing film?
“Something else Hillary should answer for,” wrote Cornyn on Twitter, “#13HoursMovie.”
Cornyn, of course, was referring to 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi, the 2016 action-thriller widely recognized as most definitive account of the attack starring Jim from The Office.
In Cornyn’s defense, there is a lot the former Secretary for State still hasn’t explained. Did the State Department, for instance, see the script before it was green-lit? Was Clinton aware of the escalating production? What happened in Washington after the first trailer? And what was our response to that trailer?
Unfortunately, without a $7 million congressional inquiry, we’ll probably never know.
