The Electronic Frontier Foundation successfully pressured the Justice Department to declassify a raft of secret court opinions permitting the NSA to collect millions of Americans’ phone records. In court documents filed on Wednesday, DOJ officials promised to publish the opinions sometime next week.
Land of the free eh? More like land of the whatever the judge deems...No such thing as rights in this world, just privileges that can be taking away at anytime.
Or privileges that one can now pay a fee to get back for a little while.

Good. We need more organizations like EFF.org. I have used them for years for all sorts of social science research (you know, these are times when things like understanding policy and the law matters). They are great resource and counterpoint to way that information is not being distributed to people without power, either here where it is supposed to serve some security purpose or behind some pay wall.
