Women Lusting After Sexy Felon Jeremy Meeks Are Pissing Off His Wife
Jeremy Meeks, the California felon whose attractive mugshot caused the entire internet to simultaneously go into heat last week, is married, and his wife of 4 years does not appreciate the legion of fans lusting after her husband during this tough time for their family.
"She's upset. She's furious," Meeks' friend Simone Johnson told CBS Sacramento. "Her man's in there, and people are taking it as a joke."
Meeks' wife didn't attend his arraignment Friday, where he was charged with 11 felony counts of weapons possession and gang activity. His family says he's a former gang member turned legit, who's being stereotyped because of his Crip tattoos and his criminal past.
Meeks previously served 9 years for grand theft.
Although Meeks' wife doesn't approve of the attention he's been getting from female admirers, some of whom have even given him their phone numbers, Meeks' popular mugshot has helped the family raise $3,600 for his defense.
That doesn't put them anywhere close to making bail, though. Meeks' bail was increased from $900,000 to $1 million Friday.
