Youngest Suspect in Charlie Hebdo Shooting Surrenders to French Police
One of the suspects in the Charlie Hebdo shooting has reportedly turned himself in to authorities without incident.
French newspapers been reporting that 18-year-old Hamyd Mourad—who is believed to the youngest of the gunmen—surrendered early Thursday morning in France.
Earlier reports by NBC incorrectly claimed Mourad had been killed during a shootout with police. According to the AP, French police confirm Mourad is now in custody but did not explain where or how he surrendered.
