You have just over one month to prepare for the most life-changing television experience ever: Bravo's Tabloid Wars premieres on July 24, and we suggest you start building up your tolerance now, because this show promises to be the most worthy drinking game opportunity since the State of the Union. Taped last summer and billed as a "docu-series," the show follows reporters from the Daily News as they go about the business of reporting news and breaking stories — plus, we know the cameras caught Lloyd Grove's then-assistant Hud Morgan on the phone, campaigning for Gawker Hottie nominations. Surely that sort of journalistic intensity wouldn't end up on the cutting room floor.

After the jump, the full release from Bravo, the one network brave enough to put these ink-stained wretches on camera.

UNRELENTING DEADLINES & COMPELLING NEWS STORIES COUPLED WITH VICIOUS TABLOID COMPETITION CREATES UNFORGETTABLE REAL-LIFE DRAMA - ONLY ON BRAVO

NEW YORK, NY - June 12, 2006 - On Monday, July 24, 2006 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT, Bravo will premiere the new original series "Tabloid Wars," the first unscripted documentary set inside the newsroom of one of the world's largest newspapers, The New York Daily News. "Tabloid Wars," a six-episode one-hour series shot in the form of a procedural drama, is like a visiting tornado that provides a personal and powerful peek into the world of tabloid journalism where everyday is a deadline, a competitive edge is key, and breaking news never stops. Each episode of "Tabloid Wars" follows the working lives of four to five compelling characters, the journalists of The New York Daily News, as they report on crime, murder, war, and celebrity news with New York City as the backdrop.

"This smart, funny and at times emotionally wrenching series taps into Bravo's arts and culture core and delves right into the fast-paced working lives of the journalists and the newsmakers they cover," said Lauren Zalaznick, President, Bravo. "This unprecedented series goes beyond entertainment in many ways and imparts a truly educational and unique glimpse at the inner workings of a competitive leading daily newspaper."

"Tabloid Wars" provides a raw firsthand look at the news before it hits the ink. Viewers are brought right into The New York Daily News newsroom where they will experience the dramatic world of newsgathering and reporting. The colorful journalists portrayed include crime and city reporters, gossip columnists, sports writers, and top editors, all of whom are wholeheartedly dedicated to their trade. The stories they cover vary from complex murders, to the war in Iraq, to Robert De Niro's thieving nanny and a Gotti family party. Filmed fly-on-the-wall style, with complete access, but structured and edited like a traditional dramatic series, "Tabloid Wars" documents how New York City's most timely and exciting stories make it to print and to newsstands nationwide.

Filmed during the summer of 2005, "Tabloid Wars" is produced by Hearst Entertainment Inc. for Bravo. Hearst Entertainment's Jerry Shevick, executive vice president, and James Deutch, vice president, are executive producers of the series along with executive producers Belisa Balaban and Ted Skillman.
