It could easily be argued that misunderstood ADD-survivor Britney Spears's romantic history is riddled with mistakes, beginning with her decision to marry and procreate with an ambition-challenged background dancer whose primary vocation was his pursuit of mastery over the art of one-handed joint rolling. But that was the scrambled, pre-Promises Britney; the new Britney, reports trusted supermarket news source The National Enquirer, has fallen for someone with only her best interests at heart:

The 25-year-old rehabbed star insists that her relationship with John Sundahl is purely professional — but her soon-to-be-ex-hubby insists they're dating and her mother is thrilled the two are supposedly seeing each other, according to the National Enquirer

Sundahl, who is 38 years old and is also a wealthy real estate developer, was recommended to Spears by someone at Promises, the rehab center where Spears stayed. At first, they met at his Beverly Hills house to discuss topics such as the twelve-step program — but the conversation allegedly got intimate rather quickly.

"Britney and John ended up making out beside the pool — and Britney acted like she didn't care who saw her," the source told the Enquirer. "She's got no shame."

While entering into a sexual relationship with one's sponsor and/or sobriety counselor tends to be frowned upon by the majority of the addiction recovery community, Spears has never been one to adhere to societal expectations. A torrid affair with someone who has walked a mile in her bare, sticky feet could be just what her recuperation needs right now, culminating in another announcement to fans on her website explaining how she "like, finally located my higher power, and it's the mindblowing times (in and out of the bedroom!) I'm having with someone very special. I'm just so happy I can finally let my hair down again (haha!) and forget about all the things weighing on me, like my kids and managers and the media and stuff. It's gonna be an awesome year!!! XO, Britney."
